Luv Ya!
Third card today for Friday Sketchers and the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which is Valentines (I wasn't going to enter this one as I don't really do mushy). Firstly I've matted and layered a Penny Black image coloured with Whispers Pens. The DP is from Craft Creatives, the embossed paper is from Pink Petticoat's washed out range in Sage, the sentiment is a Studio G alphabet stamp set, some decorative Fiskars punching and two little brads from my stash.
Thanks for looking!
Oobee Doo
Here is my second card for today which I think could be a get well card or for someone who is feeling a bit down.
The DP and image are from Pink Petticoat and the design is based on the fabulous Dawny P's sketch over on Papertake Weekly. I love Dawny's sketches because they are very clean and tidy - I'm not a fan of clutter - or maybe that's my excuse for being less talented than most of you. I'm also entering it into the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which is 'At The Zoo'.
So before I go how about a wee sing song?
Now I'm the king of the swingers
Oh, the jungle VIP
I've reached the top and had to stop
And that's what botherin' me
I wanna be a man, mancub
And stroll right into town
And be just like the other men
I'm tired of monkeyin' around!
Oh, oobee doo
I wanna be like you
I wanna walk like you
Talk like you, too
You'll see it's true
An ape like me
Can learn to be human too
Thanks for looking!
Speedy Gonzales
Morning and here we go for the Challenge Fest that is Saturday morning. So, without further ado here is my card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is to make a circle card.
This is a first for me and I quite enjoyed it. All the circles have been cut using Nestabilities, the PB image has been coloured with Whispers Pens and the DP is a scrap. With the addition of a little bow this must be the speediest card ever.
Thanks for looking!

Sugar Plum Hedgie
Last one of today and once again I'm in my black 'n' pink combo mode. This one is for the Crafty Pad Challenge which for this week only you can use any stamp - it doesn't have to be a Faith one.
The challenge this week is Mixed Media - so mine is very simple I've used embossing, paper piecing and stamping.
The Papers are Pink Petticoat in Pretty Pink, the image is Penny Black, the embossing is using my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. I'll probably revisit this one later and add an embellishment/sentiment.
Off now to tidy up, have a hot bath filled with Decleor and settle down glass of wine in hand for Dancing on Ice. It's a hard life but someone's got to do it.
Thanks for looking!
Coochie Coo
Ian has offered to go to the food shopping today (guilty conscience no doubt because he's going out tonight ha-ha!) so I can spend another day crafting before going back tomorrow to the dreaded thing that pays for all of it.
This one is for the Spoonful of Sugar Challenge which is to create a card for a new baby, mum-to-be, new mum or pre-schooler.
I've used Provocraft DP, Pink Petticoat washed out papers in Bluebell and Sage, Pink Petticoat image, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, little bows from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.
Off to find another challenge now don't you just love it?
Thanks for looking!

Slipping You A Wish
Final card of today for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which is a recipe challenge: 1 image, 2 papers and three embellishments. I hope my solid pink strip counts as a paper otherwise I'm up doo-doo creek without a paddle! Again using the Pink Petticoat papers from my previous cards of today, a Pink Petticoat image, a computer generated sentiment and the bling is from my stash.
Off to pamper myself now. Thanks for looking have a great Saturday evening!
So Bubbly
My entry for the Sketch Saturday Challenge is using the Pink Petticoat papers from my previous card today, a Pink Petticoat image, the sentiment was a freebie from Sugar Nellie (I think), ribbon and bling are from my stash.
Thanks for looking!
Frame It
I can't believe I haven't made anything since last Sunday - I think I must still be in shock after the tangerine tornado of last week.
So for this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge it's back to my comfort zone - black and pretty pink. The papers are Pink Petticoat, PB image coloured with Whispers pens, some Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing, the layered flower has been cut using Cricut George Cartridge, the frame cut using Nestabilities Scalloped Rectangle which has been mounted on some foam pads and the ribbon and bling are from my stash.

Blue Cheese
What a horrible, horrible day! It's cold and wet, it was snowing earlier and I can't be bothered going out.
Anyway, this is my entry for The Sugar Bowl challenge which is to use three different design papers and three different types of embellishments on your cards! No more, no less.
I have used three K&Co papers, a flower, a ribbon and some bling. The image is Cheddar which is one of the Soft Centre stamps.
Not sure if I like this one - it's a bit dark - I think I'm much more of a pastel kinda girl.
Thanks for looking!

Last Tango In Glasgow?
You'll be glad to know this is the last of the tangerine paper and the last card of today - I'm seeing spots before my eyes.
I'll enter this one in the 2 Sketches 4 You challenge which is #17 of Laura's sketches. Once again papers are Pink Petticoat Big Dots in tangerine, the sentiment is cut using Cricut Beyond Birthdays, some dodgy stitching around the outside and some Prima flowers.
Thanks for looking!
I've Been Tango'd
Using the same Pink Petticoat papers from the previous card this little tangerine creation is for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which I was lucky enough to win last week - thank you! This week the theme is 'Have a Giggle'.
I've added a Chubby Chums image from Pink Petticoat, a little punched border and the sentiment 'To eat is human...to over-indulge is divine' is computer generated. The only other addition is some bling from my stash.
Thanks for looking!
Tangerine Dream
I'm really a bit afraid of colour - not being as super talented as most of you crafting diva's - so this one is a bit of a shocker for me.
It is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge based on Dawny P's sketch #6 and the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is 'Lets Get Dotty'.
Using Dawn's sketch I have used positive and negative Pink Petticoat Big Dots papers in tangerine, a little PB hedgie image coloured with Whispers markers, prima flowers, sentiment from Lakeland and a little bling from my stash.

It's Pants!
Final card for today for Friday Sketchers Challenge as I need to get a wiggle on and finish making dinner.
So without further ado the papers and images are Pink Petticoat and the sentiment is computer generated.
Thanks for looking!
PS The title refers to having to go to work tomorrow - never mind another day, another dollar!
Pamper Yourself
Just what you need to do on this miserable dreich Sunday. Get out your favourite Christmas smellies, run a hot bath and beautify yourself - perfect.
This is my entry for the Sketch and Stash Challenge which is a new challenge site and is simple to enter. Every 2 weeks there is a sketch to follow and all you have to do is use your new or never used (or hardly used) stash on your creation. It's a chance to fall in love with all that stash again or just to show off with your brand new stuff.
So here is my entry which is all Pink Petticoat. I haven't used this image for quite some time and the ribbon was bought last weekend. The only additions are some silver mirror board and a little black bling from my stash.
I've been using square cards recently so as this is A6 I think I'll
donate it to the Marie Curie Cancer Care appeal. Click on the link for details of how to help this worthwhile cause - they received 111,400 cards last year which was fantastic - and there is the added bonus that someone will enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Thanks for looking!
V is for Violet
A welcome return to the ABC Challenge which is V for violet.
A better result than yesterday I think (I never did get back to do anything else) although I have 11 very kind comments already - thank you. This card is a Pink Petticoat creation using their monogram download. The only additions are a Cricut cut flower, a Prima flower, a brad, some silver ribbon recycled from a Christmas Card and some silver mirror board.
Thanks for looking!

I Give Up!
I'm having one of those days. You wouldn't know to look at it but I've been at this bloomin' card for bloomin' hours. First trying to find suitable papers, then my Cricut wasn't cutting the sentiment sharply, then I thought I'd stitch round the outside - big mistake - mini-sewing machine was playing up and I ain't dragging the adult version out.
So after several frustrating hours this will have to do for this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge theme which is a colour scheme - PINK & BROWN.
The papers are K&Co, the image is coloured using Faber-Castell watercolour pencils, the sentiment is Cricut Celebrations, and the lacy bit at the top is using my new Fiskars punch.
I'm off to do something else for an hour or so to clear my head before moving onto another challenge - hopefully I'll be back with something better later.

Sweet Pea
Here is my entry for the 2 Sketches 4 You Challenge based on Kazans sketch. I'm also entering it on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which is to use something you got for Christmas or you bought over the holiday period.
I've used Provocraft paper, baby face cut using Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge, sentiment cut using Cricut Beyond Birthdays cartridge (Christmas present), border embossed using a Cuttlebug border folder coloured with Whispers pens.
I'll probably have another go at this one at the weekend when I can find some flesh coloured paper for the baby's face. Anyway this will need to do for now.
Thanks for looking!

Seeing Spots
Another recycled effort from a previous card and an entry for Papertake Weekly Challenge which is Seeing Spots. The paper is from Craft Creatives, the image is from Pink Petticoat, embossing using Cuttlebug Swirls folder and a little bling from my stash. The design is based on Dawny P's second sketch.

Sugar Sweet
I've found (via Bev) a new challenge blog The Sugar Bowl. The rules are:
Your entry MUST NOT be combined with any other challenges.
You MUST be a follower of the blog.
Your entry MUST include a SUGAR NELLIE stamp.
It MUST be featured on your blog with a link to The Sugar Bowl.
You MUST leave a comment on the relevant post with a link to your blog post.
So my entry is using my Maggie stamp coloured with Faber-Castell watercolour pencils, various papers but mainly K&Co, Maggies kilt has been paper pieced using a download from Cuddly Buddly, the sentiment is computer generated and the flower has been cut using Cricut George Cartridge.
I'm all challenged out for today so enjoy the rest of your Saturday and thanks for looking!
Mama Mia
Feel a bit better now I've actually done something other that make a mess with my craft stuff. I've done a bit of tidying and decided to try Gordon Ramsay's version of Lasagne Al Forno to see if it is better than mine.
Now Gordy, you may be a classically trained Michelin star chef, but hey you cannae teach a Scottish woman how to cook mince. I've followed the bolognese recipe almost to the letter but without the olive oil (dry frying is kinder to the waistline Gordy) and with the addition of pancetta. I don't get the milk in the bolognese sauce but I suppose you know what you are talking about.
Onto the white sauce. Again, followed almost to the letter but I prefer the all in one method (milk, butter and flour in the pan at once and whisk while it's heating guaranteed lump free result). Mama Mia Gordy - what's with the cheddar cheese? Again, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and chuck it in.
So Lasagne Al Forno assembled....done! Chilli con Carne made with the rest of the mince....done! Kitchen tidied....done! Dishes....done!
I'll let you know who wins the taste test later Gordy but in the meantime if you need any more hints or tips please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yum Yum
This is my card for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. The papers are downloads from Shabby Princess and the image is Pink Petticoat - bought yesterday but it was in the sale - remember it's not what you spend it's what you save that matters...isn't it? The sentiment is computer generated and I've added a little brad and sparkle from my stash. Good enough to eat - pity most of us are on a diet eh?
Must must must do some housework before embarking on another challenge today.
Thanks for looking!
Failed!
I've already broken a resolution - to do the housework before I do any challenges on a Saturday. This failure means that when I realise the time it's oh my God and I'm rushing around like.....do do do do, do do do, do do do do, do do do do do.......Indiana Jones before Ian comes back.
Well you can't blame me really we have been a bit short on the old challenge front for a couple of weeks so I got a wee bit excited. Still, lets look on the bright side it and call it a workout.
Anyway, here it is my first Penny Black Challenge of 2009 the theme of which is embossing. The papers are from Craft Creatives, the Cuttlebug embossing is Swiss Dots and Swirls and the sentiment is computer generated.
Thanks for looking!

Neapolitan Dream
Second and final card for today. The papers are downloads from Shabby Princess and are in lovely neapolitan ice-cream colours. The image is Pink Petticoat and the ribbon and bling are from my stash.
Off to make my New Years Day dinner now which is very calorific - but hey there's a full year ahead to eat rabbit food.
Thanks for looking!
Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a fantastic New Year with few regrets and the resolution to enjoy the things that we have, however many or few. My resolutions are:
1) to stop buying lotions and potions till I've finished everything that I currently own (gloomy profits forecast for Boots then)
2) to stop keeping things for 'good'. So starting as I mean to go on I'm sitting here, admittedly in my jammies, swathed in Chanel No.5 from top to toe and it feels good (cue James Brown)!
So another year another challenge. Here is my first card of 2009 and it's for the 2 Sketches 4 You challenge.
I've used the following ingredients: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Pink Petticoat papers, sentiment Cricut Beyond Birthdays cartridge, flower Cricut George cartridge, faux stitching using Sakura Gel Pen, outside edges inked using Colourbox fluid chalk inkpad, ribbon and bling from my stash.
