Ab Not So Fab!

I don't know what's wrong with me today - I've been messing about for hours and come up with little or nothing.

I started off with a word book this morning for a colleagues 50th birthday - the bare bones are not bad - the problem is decorating. I've not even done anything for the Penny Black Challenge which is practically a Saturday morning ritual. I don't know whether it's to do with an extremely long and difficult week at work. Hopefully, I'll snap out of this malaise soon.

Anyway I've made this using my new Funky Daze CD and the number template is from Pink Petticoat for the Creative Inspirations Challenge. A bit of doodling and some bling and that's it - the best I can do.

Luscious Lavender

I'm having a lazy day today as I'm off to Manchester tomorrow, up and down in the one day, so it will be a long one.

So I've been on a bit of a production line and have made three cards which are totally me. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the sketch challenges where you have to cover the entire card with paper but sometimes I think my efforts look very untidy. I like uncluttered and simple, that's the type of card I would buy before I got into this card making lark. Also, the colour scheme represents my wardrobe - black with a hint of colour - I think I must be a repressed Goth!

All in all I'm quite pleased with the way they have all turned out i.e. fairly uniform bearing in mind I can't cut or stick straight. As you already know this must be as a result of one of four reasons:

1) I have a squinty eye
2) I have one leg shorter than the other
3) The house is subsiding
4) I have a squinty eye, one leg shorter than the other and the house is subsiding

Remarkably they are all the same except for the computer generated sentiments which are Girly Girl, Retail Therapy and I'ts A Girl Thing.

The DP and images are from Pink Petticoat Blooming Doodles Collection and the ribbon and pearlescent card are from my stash.

Purrrrrr.....

Challenge III today is for Truly Scrumptious a new challenge blog and their first sketch.

I seem to be having a dotty day today - all three cards have polka dots on them. For this one the image and DP's are from Pink Petticoat, the flower is made from a die-cut and a punch, the sentiment is computer generated and the little pearls and bow are from my stash.

Need to get moving now - I've done nothing else this morning other than crafting - but if I get a wiggle on I might be able to squeeze some more in later.

Lost Yer Puff?

Challenge II for today is the Penny Black Saturday Challenge with a get well soon theme.

I struggled a bit with this one as I didn't think I had a suitable PB stamp but I've come up with this one which I think might give you a little chuckle if you are feeling poorly.

The image is from the '12 Days Of Christmas' set which has been coloured with Whispers pens and glitter added to the sheeps body (I'm having a glitter day today), the sentiment 'Lost Yer Puff? Get Well Soon' has been computer generated and the ribbon is from my stash.

Sow Lovely To Meet You

It's Saturday again and for a change it's fairly bright. Over on the Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge this morning we have a lovely sketch to work with from Jill.

I've used a lilac PP paper, a PP image, some glitter for the flowers and some beautiful pearlescent card for the photo corners and the scalloped border for the image. I love these Pink Petticoat Piggies they are so cute. Popping over now to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge - see you there.

From My Sweetie

How lucky am I? Look what I got from my Valentine - two new charms for my Links sweetie bracelet - one is a little teddy bear whose legs move and the other is a little gingerbread man. They are beautiful and best of all not fattening!

Got to go now we are singing 'Flower of Scotland' - back later after the game.

Congrat-shoe-lations

Again using my favourite colour combo of pink, black and white (scraps from my monogram card earlier on in the week) this is my card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is another fabulous sketch by Dawny P.

The papers are Pink Petticoat in Pretty Pink, a Pink Petticoat image from Lola's Boudoir Collection, the sentiment is computer generated and a little doodling around the edges to finish off.

Right off to do a bit of housework now and perhaps there will be time to squeeze in another challenge before the rugby.

Make A Wish

Happy Valentine's Day everyone - I hope despite the financial doo doo we are all in that you got something nice - remember it's the thought that counts. Here is my card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week which is a sketch challenge. The papers are downloads from Shabby Princess and are in lovely neapolitan ice-cream colours. The image is naturally from PB and the little dots are from my stash.

I'm not sure how many challenges I'll manage to do today as Scotland are playing France at rugby at 3 p.m. The last time we won in Paris was ten years ago - so let's hope that today won't be another St. Valentine's Day Massacre.

P is for.........Pink Elephant

Yippee half way through the week already. Isn't it naff to be a wage slave dreaming your life away? A little extra one this week from this time poor crafter and it's for the new Pink Elephant Challenge which is to use my favourite colour combo of pink, black and white.

The papers are Pink Petticoat in Pretty Pink, the monogram is again from PP, the decorative border has been cut with a Fiskars punch, layered Prima flowers and a little ribbon from my stash. I'm quite pleased with the way this one has turned out - I think it's very girly - I hope the recipient likes it.

Blue For You

I'm a bit happier with this one I think for Sketch Saturday. The DP is unknown as the front has fallen off the pad it's so old, the image is PB coloured with Whispers pens and I've added some Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing.

I need to clear up now as today is the start of the Six Nations 2009. I'm rugby mad which is a bit surprising as I don't really like anything that doesn't involve wearing lipstick. Once we run onto the field in our opener against Wales at Murrayfield tomorrow I'll be overcome with emulsion whilst singing Flower of Scotland and then screaming like a banshee if we even look like scoring a try.

Bye for now and enjoy the rest of your Saturday. Oh and I hope your team wins - as long as your team is Scotland!

Rugby Update: Scotland 13 - Wales 26
It could have been worse I suppose - still onward and upward!

Flower Power

I'm not having a very good day today! Some days you are quite pleased with what you've done and others well..... Anyway this is my entry for Our Creative Corner which is an Inspiration Challenge. All you have to do is pick your favorite embellishment ribbon, hardware, charms, flowers, etc.) and create your whole card around it! So I started cutting flowers using Summer Driggs Awareness papers using my Cricut (a much underused gadget)which fitted nicely with my new little Card Candy paper brads and added a little sequins. The sentiment is Penny Black and backed with some silver mirror card. Very simple - a bit like me really.

Love Love Me Do

How is everyone this bright Saturday morning? It's lovely and sunny here but bitterly cold - my little tootsies are freezing. We are still in hearts and flowers mode in challenge land so this is my entry for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge with a romance theme. I've used the sketch from Friday Sketchers, DP from Summer Driggs Awareness kit, PB image coloured with Whispers pens, some handstitching around the outside and sentiment cut using Cricut Beyond Birthdays cartridge.
