A.S.D.F.G....

....do you remember your touch typing exercises? Remember when you needed fingers like a shot putter to press the keys? When there were no photocopiers and you used carbon paper or if you had a big run to do you typed on waxy film then rolled it through an inked mangle called a Gestetner? Ah those were the days - NOT!

For my entry to the Less Is More challenge this week I've used the Quirky Qwerty image from Pink Petticoat which I've enlarged and cut around to form a shaped card. I've coloured it with Whispers pens and added some glossy accents to the challenge required element of heart(s). The sentiment is just a couple of word boxes.

The card is for my ex-boss who has bagged herself a fabulous new job so I think the image is rather fitting.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

  7. Hi Kimberley

What a fabby card - I so love Liz's images - but haven't got this one yet..... but love how you've enlarged it into a card blank!

ASDF ;LKJ ..... what a mantra!! I do remember the days you were talking about with manual typewriters when I was in school learning to touch type they had little plastic caps that went over the keys so that you couldn't cheat and look!! Then in my first office job I had a manual typewriter and in my second job we had "golf ball" typewriters - do you remember those! I also had the delight of using carbon papers - but the one thing I don't remember is the Gestetner copier machine (although my dad at the time was working for Gestetner!!!!) So happy memories!!!

    Take care

  19. What a teriffic use of this image, I have it and never thought of making it a card shape!...
Gosh I do remember touch typing classes, carbon paper, duplicator machines, in an early job i used a telex machine with ticker tape. My ability to use a keyboard at twice the speed of light for data entry has helped in many a job! The down side is I find ipads, iphones, sat navs, anything 'modern;i.e. designed for peeps who can't type where you need to touch the screen with fingers very, very slow and frustrating LOL my husband bought me an ipod which I don't use for this reason.:-(
    Have a great day :-)
