Best Friends

Back to my safe pastels. This one is for Sketch Saturday and Our Creative Corner which is to use your own favourite colour combination.

I've used my favourite Pink Petticoat DP's in Pretty Pink and Sage. This image is a Dovecraft Smirk stamp coloured with my new Copic pens. Not sure if I like these - the skin tone is supposedly baby skin pink - these two must have had too much Irn Bru I think. The matching ribbon is also from Dovecraft.

Enough crafting for today the sun is finally out in full strength so I think I'll do a bit of gardening and catch a few rays.

Thanks for looking!

Cranberry Crush

Despite the colour being a bit scary this is my entry for this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is anything goes.

I've used Pink Petticoat Lola's Boudoir papers, my new Penny Black Portraits stamp which I've paper pieced with co-ordinating Cranberry paper and jewelled the centre of each flower with teeny Bedazzled beads. I've also stitched around the outside which fits in nicely with the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which is to either tear, sand, distress or sew the edges of your card (I think this qualifies on two counts in that the sewing is a bit distressed!).

Oh and by the way what about Kath's DT card for Penny Black this week? I honestly gasped when I scrolled down - oh to have a smidgen of her talent (a touch of the green eyed monster coming out in me) but we can live in hope.

Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

K is For........

....keep it simple which is the ABC Challenge this week. It's been a while since I entered this challenge - I can't think why.

Anyway this is my entry which I think looks rather luxurious even though it is very simple. Just some Cuttlebug embossing, the hearts are cut using Cricut George Cartridge, some punching and some ribbon.

I Haven't Been Slacking - Honest!

I've made quite a few cards since my last post - mainly commissions for people - which don't necessarily fit the theme of any of this weeks challenges. So I'll hold onto them if you don't mind and post them if and when they fit something.

However this one was made specifically for the Digi Shack grand opening challenge. They have a very beautiful cherry blossom image to download for free which I've used on my card. The paper is from the Summer Driggs Awareness kit which I have also used to paper piece the flowers. A little colouring using Whispers pens and some embossing using my Cuttlebug and that is basically it. I really like the paper pieced flowers which were a happy accident.

I hope you all have been enjoying the nice weather - doesn't everything look and feel a lot brighter when the sun's shining? Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

'Charming' Handbags

Last for today and this is for Our Creative Corner - I have made two little handbags filled with mini-eggs - using my favourite DP from Pink Petticoat and a new little stamp from Penny Black.

The 'charms' have been made using a PB flower stamp coloured with Whispers pens and the initial stamps are from Studio G, a little gem for the clasp, some seed beads and that's it.

You can find the template for the handbags HERE courtesy of Jackie Wright.

Chooky Birdies

Or should that be chocci birdies? These are my entries for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is to make an Easter card.

The DP is a freebie from Papercraft Inspirations, the image is from PB Spring set which has been coloured using Whispers pens. I've added some glitter to the birdies, a bloom with a gem in the centre, some ribbon and they're done.

I can't believe I haven't posted or made anything since 21st March - I'll try to be more productive this week.
