Glasgow River Festival

Today we went to the Glasgow River Festival which celebrates the maritime history of the River Clyde. Thankfully the gods were kind and there were periods of warm sunshine in between the clouds and surprisingly no rain.

There were various ships to climb aboard, a farmers market, beach volleyball, live bands, tours of BBC Scotland and STV, vintage fire engines, fun fairs, barbeques, beach volleyball, Zapcat experiences, Jet Ski races, mini cruises and a duck race when thousands of sponsored yellow plastic ducks were let loose on the Clyde in aid of the Variety Club of Scotland - didn't win the car boo hoo!
