Iced Confection

Here is my entry for the Our Creative Corner Challenge which is based on a sketch by Kim Teasdale. I've used a Pink Petticoat image (is it OK to use digi-stamps for this challenge?), DP paper by Mad About Cards matted onto Pink Petticoat Washed Out Bubblegum, some embossed card stock and ribbon from my stash.

I need to go now and do some work around the house before the rugby comes on. It's the big one today..... England V Scotland. I don't think my nerves can stand it - although you have to admire my optimism!

Hound Dog

Hope your weekend is getting off to a flying start. Not so good weatherwise here today but at least it's dry.

Here is my entry for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and I've used my favourite image of the PB stamps I own (which is not too many I have to add). This one just lends itself to a 'sorry' card. The card is very simple as the K&Co paper is quite fussy and as you know I don't really do fussy. I've matted it onto Pink Petticoat Washed Out Bubblegum, doodled around the outside of the image as is the requirement of the challenge and stamped the sentiment using a Studio G bargain alphabet stamp set.

Flower Power

Last cards of today and I'm entering these into the ABC Challenge - F is for.... Flowers.

The first one is using my favourite Papernation decoupage image, a computer generated sentiment and a little ribbon.

The second is just from leftovers from a previous card using Pink Petticoat paper and image and a little bling from my stash.

I've really enjoyed being off this week and would like to thank all those who have visited and left me comments - all are very much appreciated.

Thanks for looking!

Flutterby Friends

It's another lovely day here in the West of Scotland. I've really cracked it this week - usually when I take my week off it's in the middle of what would appear to be the monsoon season.

Onto today's card and this one is for Friday Sketchers. I've used lovely sparkly Smirk DP and a Smirk image. The flower has been die cut, the butterflies have been punched and the rest is from my stash.

Sugar Plum Hippo

Just one challenge today and it's for Charisma Cardz which is a sketch challenge this week.

I've used leftover Pink Petticoat flower and hearts design in Putty (this could be my new favourite), a Pink Petticoat image, some Card Candy dots, a stick on sentiment and a couple of rows of stitching.

No Pink - Well Almost!

Last one of today and it's for the ABC Challenge - F is for.... Flowers.

I've printed a Pink Petticoat flower and hearts design directly onto the cardstock in Putty, die-cut an aperture, die-cut and punched flowers, some Card Candy dots and a little pearl heart on the inside from my stash.

Liar Liar Pants On Fire

Yesterday - "Tomorrow I'm going to challenge myself to make some cards which don't have pink in them."

Today - Here is my first card of today for the Pink Elephant Challenge theme of buttons.

What is it with me? I was never a pink girl and now I just can't help myself. Back to the card...the DP is a download from Mad About Cards, the image is Pink Petticoat, the sentiment is computer generated and the bow and buttons are from my stash.

Miss Marvellous

Last one for today and another little sneaky entry for the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge (I hope that's allowed) which is to use gems on your card. I've used my new Smirk stamp and some scraps and a computer generated sentiment. Tomorrow I'm going to challenge myself to make some cards which don't have pink in them (but I can't promise anything).

Thanks for looking!

Love Me Love My Dog

This little cutie is for the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge which is to use gems on your card. I've used my new Smirk decoupage kit which I have layered using silicon glue instead of the pads provided (I think they're too bulky), added some punched hearts to the outside and gems to the flowers in her hair to fit the challenge.

No-Calorie Cupcake

If only! This is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is to make a card with something edible on it. It also fits rather nicely with the Everybody Art Challenge.

The DP and yummy image are freebies from Funky Fairy who are this weeks sponsors of the challenge. A little ribbon and computer generated sentiment and the cooking time is over.

Raindrops on Roses......

...... and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things......

Bet you won't be able to get that out of your head for the rest of the day!

I've used some of my favourite things for the Sketch and Stash Challenge and the Cupcake Craft Challenge:

Pink Petticoat
Polka Dots
Pink
Handbags

The theme on Cupcake was to choose from three combinations of colours. I chose pink and brown and used the sketch over on Sketch and Stash. I've recently rediscovered these Blooming Doodles images from Pink Petticoat and I love them.

Anyway here are the rest of the lyrics just in case you are struggling - I don't want you torturing yourself trying to remember them.

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favourite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favourite things

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favourite things
And then I don't feel so bad

Rehab Rebel

Got some new Smirk stamps today and was really surprised when I got to the checkout - a snip at only 99p each! They make a really crisp impression and that's fantastic for a novice like myself.

A simple card so as not to detract from the fun image which has been coloured using Whispers pens. Her hat has been sprinkled with Beadazzles and the sentiment has been computer generated.

Have to go to work tomorrow just for a few hours and then off on holiday for the rest of the week which may turn into a card making bonanza. Off now to have a little glass of what she's having and watch the rest of Dancing On Ice.

Smooth Sage

I hope you are enjoying your weekend. It's a lovely sunny day today in the West of Scotland - I think when it's brighter it gives you a little lift don't you?

This is my card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and I just loved this sketch - I think it's a really feminine one. So my offering is using Pink Petticoat Blooming Doodles and Washed Out papers in Sage. The image has been coloured using Whispers pens, the large flower has been die cut and embossed and the smaller ones have been punched. The scalloped edge is a Fiskars border punch. A little ribbon and paper dots and that's it.

Holy Cow!

A card on a Tuesday? I must be ill.

This is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge based on another of Dawny's sketches. The lovely image is from Sugar Nellie and she is called Custard (now that I look I think it is a he) which I bought ages ago at the SECC. Custard has been coloured using Whispers pens, the DP is from Pink Petticoat Rainbow Doodles Collection, the ribbon and sentiment (mmmm.. not sure) are from my stash.

Yum Yum

Last one for today - I just can't get into it - same as last week.

This is for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which is food and drink. Predictably I'm back to my fave colour combo and PP paper. The fab image is a free download from Funky Fairy and the ribbon is from my stash. I think it looks good enough to eat but I'd rather have a bag of crisps - however I don't think that would be as appealing on a card - although I don't know......Cheese 'n' Onion anyone?

Bubbles

Hope you are having a good Saturday. Boy oh boy was this a challenge - definitely a marathon and not a sprint.

It's for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is a recipe challenge - three brads, two ribbons and one flower. I'm not very good with too much going on - less is more in my book - but I hope it turned out OK.

The DP is from Pink Petticoat, the image is coloured with Whispers pens and the rest of the decor is from my stash.

Inspired

Woo-hoo....the lovely Glenda has three new pals....for a while there she was Billy No Mates in my followers list....thanks to all for following.

Anyway, after a totally unproductive weekend I've made a little card tonight for the Cupcake Craft Challenge - which is to create a card using a photograph for inspiration. I'm also entering it into Charisma Cardz Challenge which is to make a pretty card for mum.

Mine is in a lovely Sunshine Yellow DP and image from Pink Petticoat. I've added some black card to frame (my inner Goth thing again), the ribbon is recycled from a Links charm and a little black bling in the centre of the large bloom from my stash.
