It's been a fantastically sunny week here in Scotland and I've been working very hard on my tan. This morning I've completed my LIM challenge card whilst waiting for the haze to burn off and then it's another exhausting day in the garden. This week it's a colour challenge featuring the colour purple. For my entry I've die-cut a house with the quote 'a clean house is a happy house' in shimmery cardstock, mounted it on a purple card to highlight the text and added a tartan bow.
So given the weather there won't be too much cleaning going on here today - I'll be more Phyllis Diller (housework can't kill you, but why take the chance?) than the queen of gleam.
That's all for now folks have a great weekend and thanks for looking.

Monkeyin' Around
Now I'm the king of the swingers
Oh, the jungle VIP
I've reached the top and had to stop
And that's what botherin' me
I wanna be a man, mancub
And stroll right into town
And be just like the other men
I'm tired of monkeyin' around!
Oh, oobee doo
I wanna be like you
I wanna walk like you
Talk like you, too
You'll see it's true
An ape like me
Can learn to be human too
Now I've messed with your head (you'll be singing this all day I bet!) the point of this post is the sketch challenge over on LIM this week.
I've used another fabulous Dustin Pike image coloured with Promarkers which never fails to make me grin. However, I really need to brush up on my photography skills as it looks a bit flat despite having been popped on relatively high pads - hey ho.
That's all for now folks have a great bank holiday weekend and be careful - it's a jungle out there!

Timeless Fashion...
Over at LIM today the challenge is:
Something that pops or bangs
No need for an explanation for my entry in which I've used a Bugaboo Stamps image pieced with Pink Petticoat papers and coloured with Promarkers.
Move over Tom Daly I say!

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes
The sun has got it's hat on...hip, hip, hip hooray...so I'm up early today LIM challenge completed check and do some more work in the garden with my little chocolate drop helping. Today the challenge is to feature designer paper in a clean and simple style.
My entry features Pink Petticoat papers and my other passion - shoes. Nothing more to say than I'm off to don my pink polka dot wellies (no pretty pumps today) and get started in the garden. Doggie's adhoc digging means I'll have holes in places where I don't necessarily want them (the joys of Labrador ownership) still you've got to love them.

Not So Scary Dragon...
Happy St. George's Day to all my fellow Limettes of the English variety! To celebrate the patron saint of England famed for slaying a dragon the recipe over on the LIM challenge is:
I've used a cute dragon image from the fabulous Dustin Pike which I've coloured using a combination of Copic and Promarker pens, the sentiment is from The Alley Way. I really enjoyed this fun challenge so if you have not already done so go ahead and...
Do you see what I did there? (ha-ha)!

Medical Emergency...
I think I need a doctor! To enter the LIM challenge this week I need to use physical stamps - this could be 3 individual stamps or the same 3 stamps used multiple times. It's not that I don't own actual stamps - I'm just a bit fearful of them so I seem to always revert to my beloved digi's. So now the palpitations are over here goes:
The paper is by Pink Petticoat, the flower is by Hero Arts, the leaves are from one My Minds Eye stamp and the sentiment is from Clear Art. All in all I think the result is OK despite the fact I'm working with one good eye at the moment (that's a whole other story). So after visiting various Doctors and Consultants yesterday here's a little optical joke:
Optician: You need glasses.
Patient: But I'm wearing glasses.
Optician: Then I need glasses.

Spots Before My Eyes...
Oh my word polka dots (my favourite) is the challenge over on LIM this week. I've used Pink Petticoat 'Big Dots' and a Sizzix die-cut flower for my entry in my current colour obsession of black, white and green. However, I'm not really that pleased with the result and will probably have another go later. I definitely use polka dots more than anything else on cards - whilst I envy the use of fabulous jazzy papers they rarely work for me and I revert back to my lovely dots.
That's all for now folks - have a great Easter weekend (hope the bunny brings you loads of chocolate) and thanks for looking!

Up, Up, And Away...
Over on LIM today the challenge is "What's outside your window". I live not too far from Glasgow Airport and therefore every few minutes a plane passes my window flying all sorts of folks to all sorts of fun and adventures. So I've cut out a cloud shaped card, embossed with some swirls for texture and added a little red plane flying off to the sun hopefully.
Off now to get some work done before the rugby (Scotland V Ireland) starts at 17.00 so that's all for now folks - have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

My Mantra...
For this week's LIM citrus challenge I've used Pink Petticoat's 'Life's Lemons' digi images changing the fruit to limes and adding my mantra for the sentiment - 'I'm may not be right but lime never wrong!' I know you must be thinking it must be a struggle to be this perfect and I would have to agree but I just try to soldier on (wink).
Now all we need is some ice, botanical liquor and tonic for the perfect refresher to celebrate our fabulousness!

Just Hangin'
Entering the LIM challenge for the fourth week in a row woo-hoo! This week the theme is to use wire. I've twisted some wire into a branch ending in the word 'hi' for my little Paper Smooches Squirrel to dangle from.
Not feeling great today I think I have a head cold - my ears are all bunged up (lovely!)- everything sounds as if I'm in a tunnel. On the plus side it's a nice crisp sunny day here - spring may be on the way finally.

A Little Art Deco...
Morning all - another week and another brilliant LIM challenge which is add some texture.
This week I've used a SCUT file with my Cricut to create a Charles Rennie MacIntosh(ish) Mother's Day card. Congratulations to all the prize winners on the birthday challenge - all are equally fabulous as each other.
Off to walk my chocolate fur ball in another gloriouslysun drenched Scottish Saturday. Roll on summer.

Tangoed!
I was looking at my blog stats the other day and can't believe how few posts I had in 2014 and 2015. The LIM challenge was once a slight obsession and a must do first thing on a Saturday morning - bugger the housework and any other chores until it was done. In 2016 I hope to get back to my weekly fix - so without further ado the challenge this week is one layer featuring a stem. I've used Pink Petticoat Frilly Millie Pumpkin featuring a stem in her hat. I loved all the Filly Millie images when I bought them but I think I've only ever used one of them once - shameful! It's a tad too orange I think but hey ho. The challenge blog is also looking for two new DT members so if you fancy your chances simply enter DT after your entry.

Happy Birthday LIM Stars!
Happy 5th Birthday Less Is More! For their special birthday challenge the theme is white on white (with minimal metallic or black and white accents). I've chosen to make a birthday card using the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder and some stars highlighted with gold metallic star card.
Sorry for the poor photograph but there is practically zero light here at any time of day at the moment - roll on summer.
Can I also take the opportunity to thank all the stars past and present who administer the LIM challenge and the design team members for their weekly inspiration - thanks again.
